Sometimes it’s hard to get back to the basics with all the noise
Debate and discussion are good for us and there is plenty of it out there in the fire service. I speak with a lot of you and hear your triumphs, troubles and mostly your frustrations. Keep in mind that as we like to say “every day is training day,” every day is also learning day.
There’s only so much you can change. Survey what you can and can’t and invest in what you can, inside yourself, your shift and your department.
