So much for “letting it burn” eh?


First impression, coupled with fears, leads some in the fire service to say “let it burn”.

“Engine 28 responding to a working house fire on Lynch Street in south Jackson on 2/6/2014. While doing a primary search Rescue 14 found one female victim in a back bedroom. She was transported to a local hospital in fair condition. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.”

I think this information analysis is needed and should be more widely used. BUT.......I have an issue with the stratify ins terms "career", "industrial" and "volunteer". They all are firefighters......period!
