Basement fire in Company 48’s area with a report of a trapped person
Below are videos of a house fire at 9317 Kimbark Avenue in Lanham, Company 48’s area. CSU (Citizen Service Unit) 890 was first to arrive on the scene and reported heavy fire and possible people trapped. Companies advanced into the basement to conduct a search but were withdrawn due to intensifying fire conditions. The person reportedly trapped was found with the neighbors, uninjured. Companies regrouped and extinguished the fire. We’ll come back to these videos in a later post for a more detailed look at size-up, communication and more. In the meantime, discuss them among yourselves.
