Organizers of yearly training event want your nozzle team photo.
The staff behind the Andy Fredericks Training Days event here in the Washington, D.C. area have kicked off a unique “contest” requiring your photographic talent.
If you have a quality fireground photo we encourage you to send it in. If picked, your work will be displayed on this year’s promotional poster. The details are:
1. Must have firefighters stretching or operating a hoseline into a building on fire.
2. May be in either vertical or horizontal format.
I’ll add that it should also contain “smart” engine company firefighters. There’s a difference between “aggressive” and “stupid”; let’s not dishonor Andy’s memory or insult the organizers with photos of foolish firefighters.
Send your submission to Event Coordinator Wells Wilson at email@example.com. All work submitted will be considered and organizers will choose the most suitable photo for the poster. There is no financial reward, however you will be credited and your work will be displayed on the website. That should be reward enough.
