First due fire for 44 and others in the 4th Battalion.
Christmas Day was marked by a working house fire in the Chillum area of Prince George’s County. Just before 1000 hours the box alarm was transmitted for 6632 24th Avenue. Companies arrived to find fire showing from the single-family dwelling. The occupants were able to safely escape the blaze. PGFEMS Chief Marc Bashoor assisted personnel in making sure accommodations were found for the two adults and two children who occupied the residence. Career and volunteer personnel are reportedly working to restore the Christmas holiday for the family.
